ack. i was close to doing the same but held off on the doctor a. good to know it’s quality, though.
@elektrosamplist says upthread (1) reverb on MM2 is from Doctor A (2) FX on MM2 has sold Doctor As for them. Not surprising given what I’ve heard on demos (no direct experience yet).
Well darn, I missed out on it again!
Happy for the success of it, though! Precious things are never in abundance.
I spent a lot of time with a lot of my “atmospheric” pedals trying to dial in a MM2-like reverb, and finally said “What am I doing? I know this is the sound I want”, sold most of them, and got the good doctor.
Having it sit on the end of a Prophet 12 or EssenceFM is
That looks like an awesome combo. How do you find the BB for sequencing the MM2 ?
BB’s great for sequencing anything, if you can live with the touch screen interface, including putting the MM2 to work
interested in some solutions like this too. Mine is in this batch so not got it yet to start checking if some stuff I have kicking around will fit
I received my new Micromonsta2 the other day and I can’t stop noodling - Wonderful filter(s), brilliant FX and a very smart UI - I love it
@elektrosamplist: I got one question in regards to CC control:
I’m using it bitimbral on two Midi channels, sequenced by the Deluge and sending CC’s from a Faderfox Controller (UC44). I checked the Midi CC implementation to see if/how I can control the volume of both timbres independently via CC but there seems to be no direct value for it (like CC7)? You mentioned in an earlier post that every parameter is controllable via NRPN but unfortunately neither Deluge nor the UC-44 can send NRPN. Is there another way or workaround to control the levels with CC (maybe via the mod matrix ?).
I was lucky enough to order one from the last batch, eagerly awaiting its arrival
I own the MM1 and really like it, all the new features on the MM2 make a lot of sense
I think I’ll still keep the MM1, even with the new one…it’s an amazing synth at just the right size
Kidding? It’s huge compared to MM2.
Haha, sure…but it is still relatively “small” and packs a huge punch for its size. Maybe I will reconsider when my MM2 arrives
Mine showed up yesterday, very fast international shipping. Things that I like so far: overall sound is organic, great sounding filters w/ many flavors, modding the oscillator shape, fx sound lush (chorus 2… yes), intuitive and relatively fast workflow, & lots of useable presets (all the same volume ftw). Also pleasantly surprised by the secondary filter on the chorus page, very useful.
Is there really no on/off switch? Am I missing something?
And what are people using for stands?
Made one out of Lego.
first impressions:
- that was the fastest international shipping ever. i bought a hat from canada, and it took over a month to arrive after getting lost and stuck in customs.
- this thing is so small! it’s pretty amazing so much is packed in there.
- build quality seems excellent. my base rocks a little, but it might just be the little rubber feet.
- controls make sense. ui/workflow seems easy enough to pick up. i had to skim the manual a couple of times, but most of it is pretty clear from the controls. getting to alt functions didn’t feel as easy as hoped, but it’s fine.
- it can sound very big. i’ve only made a couple of not great dirty piano/weird organ patches, so i’ve barely scratched the surface. will need to dive into the mod matrix and env stuff to really get going.
- the presets are all pretty good, though some are not my jam. they’re at least useful to pick through config to see how they’re structured.
- i can see how it would be nice to input notes somehow, like on the typhon. the form factor is perfect for noodling on the go, on the couch, or whatever. there may be physical hardware limitations preventing this… dunno. it’s fine as is, but the desire for such functionality makes sense to me.
- my next quest is working on a decent rhodes patch. in my brief tinkering, it eludes me.
anyway, thanks for bringing this into the world and interacting with everyone here, @elektrosamplist! i’m diving in.
We invoice the shipping costs we pay.
Shipping is not free for us.
I’ll say it again, we are not Amazon, we are not Thomann, and we will never pretend…
Some destinations are faster than others, particularly the US, because we use UPS to the US (this can be false, but 90% shipments to the US are with UPS) because they are cheaper than our standard shipping.
5 days, including a weekend… well, nothing alarming so far.
Next time, ask for express shipping, and we’ll be happy to do a custom quote for you.
My complaint was not directed at you, since you’ve shipped the synth quite fast, no gripes there. I was just surprised that some people in the US got it already, while there’s no clear indication from DPD when it’s going to arrive in my country.
No slight on @Motas, it’s tough watching the slow delivery; we are seeing a lot of waylaid packages lately.
I do want to thank @elektrosamplist for continuing to engage so actively with the community, even when folks are frustrated. It really makes a big difference.
My plan is to add cc7 support like MM1
I didn’t take it as a direct complaint, but just wanted to explain why some got it already.
According to your tracking, it arrived in your country today.
We are currently processing the last orders.
Everything should be shipped by Thursday.
