I don’t get how to save.
I hold the preset button, see the blue flash, but then I don’t get what is the preset target, doesn’t save.
I could save once, dunno how.

Ok I find out with that video. This is not user friendly !

Other than that no particular problem with parameters.

a happy outcome is just that, congrats

Is there a way to modify an user preset ?(change algo).
Edit : seems possible by copy it to another preset, isn’t it ?

Known bugs ?
Just recorded Interrupt lofi fx with looper Pre-Fx = On, MIX = 0 (guitar straight in, so theoretically lofi fx should not be recorded). ???
Edit : maybe because I pitched up recorded loop ?

Also noticed weird lofi sound with looper, reduced speed to x1/2 then x1 to get orignal sound…???

No way to tell MC that recorded looper is the tempo ??? (Doesn’t seem possible to tap tempo during looper playback)

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, Hologram Electronics totally abandoned the product and never took in account users feedback.

It’s a good product IMO but it has some obvious flaws that’ll never be fixed.

I guess you could overwrite the oreset you’re using but you might lose the saved loop.

Shouldn’t you be in looper only mode?

I think it’s possible AFAIR.

Copy paste a user preset to another algo seemed to work.

Same with Looper Only mode.

How to reproduce :

  • Record a loop.
  • Change loop to upper speed with Tempo mode (not Subdiv mode)
  • Overdub : you get a sample rate reduction fx

I also add a super weird bug in Burst mode : it played previously saved recording…

To be honest I never used the looper only mode neither the burst mode.

Since I use the MC mainly synced with MIDI I also never use the tempo mode since it doesn’t work when synced.
In my experiments, I did record stuff and set it in upper or lower speed then overdub.
I happened to fo this with my Boomerang looper that has a Octave mide where it divides timing per 2. I would record a reggae beat with Octave down activated so i could switch to jungle mid song setting off the switch.

Not sure it’s a bug. Burst just take a snippet, i donnt think it overwrite the saved loop.

It loaded and played several previous saved recordings automatically, I wasn’t changing user presets; no midi in; definitely a bug.

My initial idea was to record a drum loop, save it to a user slot, then load it for jams, adapt tempo (Tempo mode) and overdub.
Doesn’t seem possible without unwanted sample rate reduction.

I synced MC to Digitone 2, sync and looping worked well, as long as you don’t stop looper or sequencer : doesn’t seem possible to restart synced with PLAY message. Maybe with a midi CC.

Microscom synced to Digitone 2.

I think you need press ENTER after your text so the video can be displayed here.

[mod edit] No, it was a space character before the URL.

Hi Chinchilla , have you resolve this very step problem. I have the same problem …and the last firmware. Thanks  !

What a nice style of music there. It’s like new gen post-rock. It’s the first time I hear Microcosm used so nicely in a guitar context tbh. Is there an additional delay pedal?

Thanks !

Guitar > Tonex One (Amp/Cab sim + reverb) > Microcosm slved by Digitone 2 > Digitone 2 (possible additional fx)
