MFB 522 & Octa midi issue

Yo, this is genuinely sucking the life out of me and my grooves.

So I am syncing the 522 from the Octatrack and using the Octatracks sequencer instead of the 522, its just easier to manage songs this way as opposed to fiddling with the sequencer in the 522.

Although it has always caused me issues with the open hats, for some reason the open hat doesnt trigger everytime. It is very random, instead it just triggers the closed hat.

I have already tried changing it so the length is INF but this doesnt fix the issue. I feel like its some menu setting in the Octa I can’t find thats causing it, because when I play the 522 standalone, this is never a problem…

Please somebody know how to fix this, its killing me!

anyone?.. anyone?..

Did you try in chromatic mode playing A#1 ? is it working that way, outside of the sequencer ?

yeah, thats how i usually program it, through chromatic mode.

i mean there is no problem that way ? if so maybe a parameter in the note page is interfering …

yeah it does also cause the problem, what would the note page thing be and how can I try fix it?

From the manual of the 522 the hats share the same voice and respond to those CC

F#1 (41) Hi-hat
G#1 (43) = Hi-hat
A#1 (45) Open Hi-hat

Also:

Hi-hat - Decay controls the sound duration for the open hi-hat.

Also:

All instruments are also available two octaves above the listed values (B2 to D4).

Maybe you could try playing those different CC at different octaves and see what happens ?

I fail to see why it behaves that way, there must be someone with an OT and a 522 around !

I really appreciate your help man! I will give that a shot.
