Aha I see. You need a usb-midi device between the computer and the pedal.
is there a changelog for the LVX online?
i read it’s 1.30 now and would like to know what’s new
and how it does compare to others
thanks

A CME Widi works great w/ LVX, MX over bluetooth.
I came to this forum because of this issue. Yes, it’s an issue!
Hi guys, just wanted to say that while it’s not perfect and sometimes a little buggy, I’ve had a very good experience with the Mercury X pedal so far. Pedal is an ugly word for such a complex sound processing unit really, but let’s call it a pedal based on format, not implication.
One thing I see some people mention is the hard right panning and while this may have been discussed previously, or if it’s a different issue altogether I’m not sure, but any patch which you start modifying from a preset, you have to check the preamp setting because there is a setting for the modulation pedal (I think it calls it volume pedal) which has something to do with panning and I’ve noticed that any patch which leans heavily towards the right side of the stereo field is often assigned to “volume pedal” in the “type” field of the preamp and most can be centered by changing type to “off”.
I don’t know if that will impact anyone but hopefully someone is able to use this information to get a little more life out of this great effects unit.
To be clear, press the menu encoder and use the data knob to scroll left or right until you get to the sub-section for preamp. The bottom right of the screen should say “type” and if it says “volume pedal” turn the encoder to “off” or any of the other preamp types and see if the panning is improved.
Other than that, I really like the versatility of this unit and while it’s not appropriate for every piece, it can really be fine-tuned to work with most synth / guitar / whatever you want to put through it.
I do consider this overpriced and a luxury item, but it sits nicely at the end of the chain and is more versatile than the product name (calling it a reverb pedal) would imply.
Thanks for sleuthing this out and posting this tip. I had noticed this right pan bias issue on occasion and had not been successful troubleshooting it. I took a quick look through the preamp setting on a preset I used as a starting point the other day and it is currently set to the volume setting you reference above. At the time I thought i had just not set my levels on my interface correctly. But that wasn’t so much resolving the issue as much as just slightly mitigating the issue.
I’ll toy around with this a bit more when I get a chance and see if it resolves the issue for me.
If it helps even one person, then I’m glad that I brought it up. I’ll hope that’s all it is for you as well.
I bought the Mercury X two weeks ago.
Thing is great! Calling it a reverb is an understatement for sure tho.
I love everything about it. I downloaded the preditor app for my pc, but I find myself making all the patches on the device itself, workds quite well for me.
I had a bigsky from a friend aswell to test, I prefer the meris tho.
Nice, convenient html quick reference midi implementation chart link for Mercury X:
You can also find the same info in the manual but it’s provided as a pdf and so rather than have to open a pdf and scroll down, this is just an easy access html version which can be bookmarked.
Looks like Meris teasing a new product - uploaded a picture of a tape, so guess a tape effect or analog sim recording product possibly
Updated thread title as Meris is about to release yet another pedal on the X (LVX, Mercury X, Enzo X) format.
