Melbourne Instrument is going to change the game!

I received an email with the reply "coming soon  " and jumped a whole through the roof!

Don’t know if I can tell more about it. (not that I know a lot more) but I can tell it’s not a synth and that everyone is gonna probably want one. :stuck_out_tongue:

This is big news. At least it’s a dream coming true for me. Let the gossip begin!

It’s a midi controller with their motorized pots?

Edit: and small displays underneath each one for midi 2.0?

That’s the most logical case for getting their tech into more hands, bcr2000 / faderfox like device with motorized pots

Will it have parameter slides?

Me neither. I’ll wait for mk2.

Then I’ll pass again.

I mean when I say it’s not going to be a synth it’s obvious what else it is right?

So yes they’re gonna introduce MIDI controller(s). I’m so excited! I’ve wanted motorised pots since I first got introduced to MIDI controller. I’m gonna fall in love with so much gear again by having what I’m hearing actually visually represented in front of me on the controls.

No NDA or promise you won’t say anything?

And, on my side, they already did change the game.

I wasn’t even thinking about keys yet myself. But if they do then yes hopefully they offer the option.

For myself I hope it’s something that is small enough to take with me. in my bag. Something like the LaunchControl. (not the XL version) or that thing from Behringer with the LED rings, or the MIDI fighter Twister. With a little display that’s useful. That’s the dream I’m in right now. :stuck_out_tongue:

Course not. I wouldn’t be posting if that were the case.

So midi controller or drum sampler…I’m down for both!

“Everyone will probably want one” I would have preferred “everyone will probably be able to afford one”

Surely you can share what your email said to them if ‘coming soon’ was their reply.

Why would you make this post but withhold essential information if you’re not legally bound to by Melbourne instruments?

I’d kindly request you share the info that you have instead of trying to play games with people on the forum… people who are obviously interested, somewhat cruel and unnecessary.

I agree, where’s that e-mail?

So we’re excited about an unconfirmed midi controller that does what Behringer were doing 20 years ago?

Well I for one am shitting myself with excitement.
