MC 707 / 101 : Roland Grooveboxes

On The 707 I was holding down the Track SEL button while I was turning C3 / C4 to add delay / reverb.
Is there a shortcut like this on the 101 as well?

I downloaded and installed all 46 of the sound packs on my MC 707 SD card. I am finding the management of this to be sort of silly. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the presets into the MC 707 browser? Right now I have to navigate to a particular sdz file on the card, push to open it, and then import a sound (or drum kit) to be able to audition it.

@Gribs nope, unfortunately that is the only way, no preview of sound packs for reasons only known to Roland, hopefully it will change.

I downloaded them as well, some really nice sounds, but the browsing is very silly indeed

@darenager Sad panda :cry:

Oh well.

Happily got my free year’s subscription to zenology Pro even though I registered months ago… But after installing it in roland cloud I can’t figure out how to launch it? Any help appreciated :+1: I feel really dumb!

How did you do that? I’ve tried putting serial number in Cloud Key Registration and it fails on me. I registered about a week ago or so.

You need to download Zenology pro then put it in your VST folder, then use it from within a host, there isn’t a standalone version for some unknown reason, more the pity.

The scroll to near the bottom and read the ‘Already registered, no problem’ bit and follow the instructions :+1:

I use Reason and it only loads vst2, thankfully I’ve got live 10 lite and the vst3 loaded fine in that. Thanks :+1:

Yeah I use Live lite too, I tried a bunch of other hosts but none of them worked.

Cool. Tried in different browser, still didn’t like my serial number but at least had a link to contact support. (Not that I really need this!).
EDITED: does work now.

Wow, discovering this offer when you own a zencore hardware! will i be able to install vintage expansion on hardware too (jup8, sh, jx8p etc)? thanx

No, the expansions are not compatible - at least right now, I doubt that will change though, but who knows?

Cool :+1:I’m really glad to get this year subscription for free. I can now get all the sound packs and if I ever run into a sound that I want to edit more deeply I’ve got zenology Pro to do it.

actually, only jupiter X / Xm can load model expansion right now

Sounds amazing as a plugin from a quick play in Logic too.

Good to hear :+1: I will get back into doing some DAW stuff at some point. Have to say getting a 2nd hand MC-101 for £280 is turning out to be a really rewarding move.

Does anyone know if I sell my mc101 is there any reason my packs I’ve installed won’t work?

It doesn’t connect to internet so can’t see it stop working if I was to unregister it

These packs aren’t they stored on a SD card if so sell it with the SD card
