The used Maschine MK3 I bought today from an electronics store was a great purchase, but the license is registered to another user (obviously I don’t know who). The Native Instruments site is an utter nightmare in this regard - trying to transfer the license across to me. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience there?
No experience, but my suggestion would be to contact the store where you bought it first.
In the first instance you should raise a ticket with n.i. Support, explain the situation and they’ll try to contact the previous owner to get the serial released…
Ya…contact the store…they should have the original owners info for registration purposes. Would never buy an NI used unless from a direct person who told me they’d release the registration.
No point in that - it’s not their job to get the license details from the seller, sadly
I had the same situation. I just had to prove purchase to NI and they sorted out my license. Just raise a ticket or email them with a photo of the bottom of the unit (with serial number) and your receipt/invoice from the shop.
