First time posting, long time lurker 
I kind of know that it probably won’t work but maybe someone has already tried it?
I want to use a MIDI controller with pads to play my drums on the Syntakt. Before I buy something new I thought maybe I could get my Maschine Mikro MK2 or my Maschine MK2 some use again but I have a Dawless Live Setup with an Octa + Syntakt.
Can I use my Maschine’s without a computer for this?

It probably has a controller mode that you configure in the editor … many other native instruments stuff usually does
You’ll then need to figure out how to plug / power the controller … and plug it into Syntakt ( Syntakt isn’t a host device afaik )
Yes this is possible. You need something like this to interface between the two:
And as mentioned, you’ll need to set up the Maschine pads in NI’s software to send the corresponding MIDI notes.
thanks for the reply, I have the controller editor but the way to plug in to syntakt is the crucial bit here
