Maschine + Analog Four

Anyone currently using this combo?

I’ve been making some sketches with Maschine and then programming them on the OT + A4. I’m thinking of ditching the OT and use Maschine for the drums.

How is the sync and which do you use as Master?
Do you sequence the A4 using the internal sequencer or via. Maschine?

Personally I never quite liked Maschine even though I had it for several years. Just my 2c

I would use A4 as a master clock. Maschine master clock is just ok

Hi,

I use Maschine as my master-clock into my A4 - then on to my EMX. Works really tight.
Using the A4 as master was not usefull for me, the clock was very unstable. The EMX had a better sync as master, but with the Maschine as master I get absolutely tight sync.

I have not upgraded my Maschine to 2.0 yet, but imagine it is going to be even more fun.

I’m in the process of making this exact switch.
I’ve only had a few jams so far with Maschine as master clock and sync is good enough for fun (with Fireface UC as midi interface). I’ll be testing the sync properly in the next few days so I’ll let you know.
I’m expecting that sync will be dodgy from a computer clock so part of the plan is to sell the OT to fund an Innerclock device or some similar solution.

Been experimenting with both sync and sequencing today, seems to be working fine so far.

Btw, I’m using the MIDI OUT from Maschine
