Market price on Elektron TM1

TM1 are currently offered on eBay for 400€? Seriously?
My question: were those little boxes given away with each and every MD /MnM?

Or were those units sold optional?

I got one with the MD mk2 UW+, but got to buy one for my second hand MM+mk2, so I’d say both…
Really felt the need only to load samples in MD though.

Market price on Audiofanzine (Fr) is 65€.
None on sale right now though.

Got mine with 2nd hand MD MKII non UW - but NOT with SFX 60 MKII non UW and SFX6

Got one with all three second-hand silver boxes I own. I think the seller is only high-balling.
He/she also sold a non +Drive UW for 1.6k (Elektron machinedrum SPS 1 UW UserWave | eBay) + another one with +Drive for 2.5k (Elektron Machinedrum SPS 1 UW MK2 UserWave + Plus DRIVE + TM1 TurboMidi | eBay) there should be some tm-1’s and MD’s around for less money at some time

I didn’t think they were bundled with Monomachines, only Machinedrum UWs. I might be wrong (edit: I was) but I bought both my silver boxes new (MnM SFX60+ MkII, MD SPS-1 non-UW MkII) and only received a TM-1 with the MD didn’t receive a TM-1 with either.

Edit: checked and I actually bought my TM-1 separately.

The TM-1 was only included with MD UW models from 2006 onwards, but not with the final batch that were sold in 2016. It was not included with any other Elektron gear, but available to purchase separately.

You can get some support (advice) without registering, but it’s at Elektron’s discretion what they do with an unregistered unit in terms of repairs. I strongly recommmend that you ask the previous owner to un-register the MD so that you can register it. Not in front of my MD now. I can’t remember whether the serial number format is based on the year and month. I’m sure that Elektron can help you with that. Need a massive favour from someone involving their time and TM1 and turbo time.

Please can you midi monitor a turbo OS upgrade in and out ports and send me the first 400/500 lines (from the moment the md is booted into receive upgrade, then send is pressed in C6). You can filter out all data except for sysex.

Trying work out what message the md sends to verify packets, ACK or otherwise…?

Yeah it’s just a turbo handshake thanks Peter for sharing, no closed loop verification comms like with the sds.
