quite a lot of overlap — so rotate.
start with 2-piece setup and don’t add boxes unless you absolutely know what duties you need another box for.
when you’re bored with some box, shelve it and unshelve another in place.
when you notice some box is unused way too long, consider selling it.
I have the Push 3 for 2 years now and really tried to like it but I somehow don’t enjoy using it that much.
The pads feel amazing and the mpe is really nice but i mostly end up using my 61 key midi keyboard.
I just feel more comfortable using a midi keyboard and mouse and keyboard for ableton.
I already did that and that’s why i made this post.
Felt just too overwhelming when i had them all on a big synth stand and mostly couldn’t concentrate on one piece of gear.
Maybe I could use the volca drum on the toilet lol
There’s your answer.
Sell everything that doesn’t meet the above criteria.
Personally Id keep either the deepmind 12 or the Prophet (probably the prophet, I think the fan noise in the deepmind would annoy me). Everything else can go.
maybe unused gear just should be out of sight?
this actually matters for human brain.
Choose one synth and one sampler that you really connect with. Anything else will be a distraction until you get accustomed to using just these two together.
Choose one Moog, it sounds like you don’t need both for what you do. Do you need Push AND a looper? I’d probably choose one or the other. If it was me, I’d go down to Matriarch and Prophet, Push or looper, sell everything else.
Yep, if I’m gonna sit down, I gotta get down!
