There is also another speculation from reading into the graphics that I saw on lines forum. Maybe it’s a fxdf replacement? A fixed filter? That would be my dream. More small fixed filters like the Filter and Noise, and Fxdf!! Loving my Filter and noise still.

I’m a big fan of make noise and have their 0-coast/0-Ctrl, Shared System and Mimeophon. Would love to see new Eurorack modules from them.

from an instagram story post it seems to be a module… part of me thinks it will be a multifx module or maybe an oscillator with many different synthesis modes? I dunno this is just guessing based on the image for the youtube having symbols that don’t really corelate with each other. I mean I suppose we could try to break down what each symbol means.
I’m gonna guess based on the audio on their new insta post that’s it’s some kind of crazy phaser thing…
Based on the audio, I am going to guess a wavetable synth - Based on the glyphs I’d guess some kind of envelope generator. Glad the wait/speculation will not be long!
Looks nice. Fits well with the other recent stereo modules. I’m still learning my DPO. But, of course it’s beautiful work.

Yeah, I watched the video live a couple hours ago. Seems like it adds some cool things to their stereo lineup, and also on its own as a module. It is an interesting concept for sure.

I don’t dislike it but I’ll be honest it doesn’t really appeal to me all that much, which is a shame as it would look very nice next to my QPAS and Mimeophon.
I would have liked 2 oscillators, but I’m greedy - could have even opened up interesting multi-timbral stereo capabilities. The lack of soft sync and also octave control for the sub outs is a shame too, especially when it has 5 dedicated wave outputs for it… and they’re mono - which I kind of get but also don’t.
A second, detunable oscillator would have sold it to me though - use some of that sub patch space for it.

You’re sounding like the people who lamented the lack of sampling on Syntakt. Like, sure, but also just get a DPO or something else if you want control over a second oscillator.
Get 2 of em if you want the full stereo experience

It just seems premature to start pointing out what this is missing when we’ve spent a collective 0 hours with it yet. Tony put a ton of work and love into this module — he went into great detail in the announcement stream, explaining every single jack and every design decision — so we’d be fools to receive this and focus on what isn’t there.
That said, I do love the second oscillator on DPO and use it extensively, so I definitely hear what you’re saying.

I’m excited for this one. I bought Hexinverter’s Mindphaser over DPO but now I’m not so certain I even want DPO.
I’m leaning towards selling off Mindphaser and replacing it with XPO and STO.
The timing of the release is not great for me after buying Bim and Boum, but I really like how nicely it played into QPAS.
I have nothing to add other than it is indeed F’ing hot. Though I think for the first time, it’s actually hotter over in the UK than it is here in Atlanta.
Finally watched the vid I posted…I think it sounds amazing. BUT…I think it’s cuz the patches the Make Noise guy does [before the randos at the end] are so damn good.
I know if I had one, it would just sound like shit.
