Main Out turns into Mono when connecting Elektron Gear

Trying to connect my Elektron gear audio (OT, A4, DT, AH) but I keep getting mono signal.

A4 Main Out -> OT Input AB /or CD. I up the Dir value to both channels using Thru Machine track. Audio is still Mono and when I pan on the A4 to the left the signal gets lower, panning to the right the signal gets louder - but still mono.

Same thing happens when I do the other way around - OT out -> A4 in.

Not sure what I do wrong? When I use the same outputs (both OT & A4) to the Analog Heat its in stereo.

Have you set the thru machine input to AB and CD?
Under INAB you turn the encoder until it shows ‘AB’ and for the other thru machine under INCD you turn the encoder until it shows ‘CD’.

You don’t have to turn up DIR in the mixer if you use thru machines.

I’d also try A4 > OT with DIR only, no Thru.
DIR is stereo only.
If it’s not stereo, you probably have a problem with your cables.

On A4 Ext in page you have to pan inputs left and right to have stereo.

Thanks for the replies! I’m new to the OT, must have done something wrong when I set it up earlier. It’s a bit more complexed than my DT/A4/Digitone that I’m familiar with. :slight_smile:

Works as it should by setting the DIR as mentioned. I think I might get a mixer instead though since I don’t want to sacrifice all 4 inputs for the DT & A4.
