Machinedrum will not boot up

Machinedrum Froze.
Won’t boot up.
Black Screen.
Can’t even do a reset.

Any suggestions?

There’s a chance the power supply may be failing. Do you have another to test with?

Might be worth contacting Elektron to see if they have any recommendations.

Mine did that but it froze on the e logo. Replaced the PSU and now I’m back without problems.

I do not. The music stores in my area are stocked horribly so I might have some trouble finding another compatible cable. I bought it off fleabay a year and a half ago and it started giving me problems early.
It’s a great piece of kit, it’s just a pain when it isn’t cooperating…

Well a properly working MD with the latest O/S is very stable.

So it could either be a Power Supply issue, or an internal hardware issue.

From past experiences, the power supply is usually the culprit.

If you’re familiar with electronics, you could check to see the voltage output using a multimeter.

I would also agree with JV that the power supply is the most likely culprit. It is hard to find a power supply with the needed specs so you will either have to go to a place like Mouser, or just order one from Elektron.
