MachineDrum cannot do 909 hats. Unbelievable that this essential sound is not possible. Surely we can have an optional 909 sample machine to replace the E12?

The 808 hats are also not up to scratch. They are great 606/cr-8000/KPR types though.

Yes, it’s hard!

I can do a pretty faithful recreation of the Closed High Hat, Ride and Crash. The Open High Hats I’m probably going to concede on.

Quick Update:

I’ve improved the sound of the Rimshot. It’s very close now.

I’ve just uploaded the raw ROM samples from a TR-909 to the MDUW for the OH, HH, Ride and Crash. This is the digital data extracted from the sample roms located on 909 voice board.

It’s likely that i’ll make 3 variations of the 909 Kit available:

NON UW (internal synthesis only)
UW but (high hats samples only)
UW (high hats, crash and ride samples only).

Raw 909 rom data doesn’t sound as good as eq’ed and hyped up hats. I use sample libraries rather than the holy grail rom.
Very good sounds though. Kicks and toms are spot on.

I can add that as a recent beta tester i can say the 303md is amazing
love the 909 punch and noise , spot on next level md sounds

Great work. These sound the business.

Gave them a bash with me 909 and 303 side by side with the MD. Sat very well, with the ability to extend the sounds beyond the regular palette…
