Machinedrum SPS1-UW X.12 Released [ Unofficial ]

I replaced the screen with a black on blue LCD and haven’t had a freeze since so possibly the old one was damaged.

Never mind… got it

Looked around and did not find the following info, so figured I would post it here for others for future use. Machinedrum Pitch to Notes. For the TONAL compatible instruments.

Am i right in the assumption that when i not enter Enhanced Mode i can use the Machinedrum as i was used to without MCL?

Thanks!

Thanks, but that chart does not show the same info.

yes, i should have written that. these are helpful sheets with pitch and transpose infos i thought you and others could like.

Oh yes. For the standard tuning of sample based machines (E12 / UW samples), this is the standard!

Using x.11 with MCL I’m stumped about how to update the loop and jump values for multiple slots. On the grid page I hold down exit/no select everything or as many slots as I want, I set the loop and the jump. It says ”updated slots”, I save everything reload and only the first slot jumps. I am currently having to go through and manually change each slot which doesn’t feel right. Can anyone explain step by step how I select a row and change the loop and jump value for all slots on that row. I’m on the latest firmware(s).

For what it’s worth, i did a small png file with your data that can be printed right away.

Hey dear elektronauts. I love everything about that project and just received my mcl. After reading the manual i still got some open questions.

In a yt video it looked like a guy was changing the main page of the mcl with the bank button on the md (under function)

Also there are funtions on the unoffical os of the md i can only find in changelogs. Is there a collection of that?

And at last how can i use ctrl 8 with mcl. I got some kits that depend on ctrl 8 and i wanna use them with the mcl. Is that possible or is there a alternativ for ctrl mashines?

Just wanna find out everything about my beloved machinedrum and i think this is the only place to ask.

BANK and a trig. For example:

BANK + 1 = Grid Editor
BANK + 2 = Mixer
— See the rest below from page 21 in the PDF of MCL 4.60 documentation.

Help! I’ve just loaded the x.11 sysex file onto my MD mk1 and it won’t go past the booting up screen :frowning: and factory reset isn’t even working it just goes back to that screen with the elektron logo. Says X.11 in the bottom right and F in the lower left. I backed it up before. What should I do??

What does testmode say?

Says all ok if I remember correctly. Currently putting the official firmware back on it but it’s still updating. Fingers crossed it works again. I’ve got a gig in 2 weeks… I hope it isn’t this power problem I’ve been reading about

Would it be possible to implement changing the default behaviour of the potentiometers (so you don‘t have to push them to quick turn)?

Is this an X request or an Elektron feature request for all machines?

Is it an access thing or a preserving encoder thing?
You’re not the first I’ve heard request this so just wondering

It‘s specific to the X firmware, as I don‘t think Elektron will update this part of the „old“ Elektron units. (It‘s not relevant to new Elektrons as their default encoder speed is fast enough)

Being able to swap the push+turn/turn behaviour would probably increase the lifespan of many Machinedrums out there

I`m afraid to rotate pushed encoders cause i think that i can acccidently bend them.
