Machinedrum sound comparing to digital eurorack modules

Hi, i love the sound of Noise Engineering stuff for example, and i wouldn’t mind to have a drum computer, so would machinedrum bring me to a similar territory? I see some people call its sound ‘cold and digital’ and even ‘thin’, saying that rytm is much better but it’s hard to know their context and music preferences, so, if it’s just digital as in NE modules digital i’m all in! As long as it can ‘punch’ and get weird…

Anyone who have experiences with both can chime in?

Thanks!

Hi I don’t think Machinedrum sounds thin… yes digital and cold and depend on what engines you use for drum synthesis it can go very aggressive and gritty. Punch is something you can get by different methods I’m not talking about samples just the MD engines!

Tons of MD demo s and sound samples on the web. Should tell you all you need to know about its sound.

Bullshit imo  I kinda wish I hadn’t sold my MD, it was capable of the most satisfying kicks I’ve heard in a drum machine imo, and I barely scratched the surface.

Yeah for kicks definitely one of the best for sure.

It can get weird alright. If you like weird, the MD delivers all day all night.

I don’t have any modular to compare it to though.
