Machinedrum + Digitakt

I’ve had the DT since release and love it. Inspired me to get an octatrack and also love the OT.

I had a sonic potion lxr and that was only drum machine I had with real drum synthesis and I miss it :upside_down_face:.

I do think trig conditions are necessary now to my setup and I believe the machinedrum doesn’t have it.

So how could I setup a DT to have trig conditions for the Machinedrum. I’m imagining when I put the notes in a midi track on the DT for the machinedrum I’d be able to add trig conditions but how would I p-lock the machinedrum since the notes aren’t entered on the machinedrum

Maybe I’m over complicating it but I’m imagining I can get micro timing and all that but I wouldn’t be able to p-lock the machinedrum since the notes are coming from the DT.

P-lock MIDI CC’s being send to the MD parameters from the DT’s MIDI tracks

I’d be more concerned about how you will trigger each drum from the DT since each midi track will only be able to trigger one drum per trig unless you use chords but would be a pain I reckon

You can select 8 externally controllable cc per midi track on the digitakt. I use this to control and lock the synthesis machine parameters on my monomachine. You could also do this with the digitakt controlling the machinedrum.
