Machine drum input problem

Hello my Friends… Today , I was using this beauty machine when I had a “big problem” . I connected my Juno 106 from the mono output to Input A of the Elektron. I went to the part of GLOBAL … I Confighure everything for the trig A. to receive signal from my Juno … Below select which of the 16 channels that want to sound input … In my case I selected the first channel… and got up several options. “SENS GATE UMIN UMAX” . SENS was the only one parameter that I touched as it had no sound at all. … I set in 40 … so random … When I touched the Juno … I listened a horrible sound … not strong … but as a distortion in low frequency … the classic “popcorn noise” mixed with white noise and weird stuff … I got crazy and disconnected everything … (including midi clock that sent him to the MPC 2500) … Since the Elektron being without nothing connected only output was crazy … It did not show me the tempo … if I set play it did not start right away but after 3 seconds … If played every step sounded sounds assigned but not the lights … At times, all lights lit up the track selection all at once or turn them out and lit in a crazy way … Anyway … I Freacked out !. tried to get that configuration and could neither access the menu global. I turned it on … and it happened the same as before… I could acceed but i did not show me the tempo in the screen. After trying everything I could then access the menu . I went to the part of TRIG A … remove the selection track not to sound in any imput nothing … (, pleaser remember the Juno was and I was not even connected) and I lowed the SENS to 0 … I went out the menu and worked perfect … I turn it on and off 4 times and it went on working perfectly… I said ok to myself. . Here’s the problem … I went to the Menu again … and back configure the imput trig A sound in step 1 … Nothing happened I was still working well … I Turn up SENS and it went well too. I STOPped it and Once again it came back to sequence it was playing. ONCE AGAIN OUT OF CONTROL AND MADNESS… It did not allow any parameter … I realized that there is the problem. I went crazy to access to the Global Menu and to return it to 0 . Finally could set it well. After that I turn it off and turning it on again
After all this I turned it off … and kept the FUNCTION button pressed and accessed the Menu to see if the Elektron had any failure .I activate the TEST MODE … And it was all OK … there was anything unusual, everything is as it said the Manual. I need a solution as soon as posible.

Its the first time i use the Input section in the MachineDrum.

Sory for my english… Im from Argentina… I hope this was a Software Bug and not a hardware problem. Please elektron help me :frowning:

I purchase the machine in september of 2014.

what a wild ride you had! … if you are looking for official help from elektron , then I think it is better to write them directly on their homepage … they are very nice people, and usually respond within a few days…

I cannot help you right now … but would like to welcome you to the forum!

welcome !!!

The trig A/B in the global menu is used to set the inputs to react to drum pads (piezo/mic level). You shouldn’t use this with line level, ie your Juno.

You need to go into the Kit menu & choose the machine called INP-GA (Input Gate A)
Place a trig on the first step & set the sequencer playing with your Juno plugged into Input A.
Adjust Vol to taste.

See Appendix A11 in the manual

Cheers & welcome

Thanks my friend. yes you are right. But when I go to TRIG A/B menu and nothing its connected and move knob of “DEST” inmediately the machine fail. I dont know why… its freeze . I cant move any knob. :frowning:

You think i brooke de machine connecting line in TRIG A ?

Thanks Man !!

I would have thought Elektron would have made provision for this eventuality as the inputs are designed to handle both line & piezo.
Have you tried an Empty/Soft/Factory reset? Page 83 manual

I’ve had similar problems but it was because the input I was plugging in was shorting out.

First to the soft reset on your machine - this will bring it back to normal.

Then try other inputs - maybe something has broken off in your jack or something is wired strange in your juno.
