Machina Bristronica

Future Sound Systems is showing their new semi-modular analog synth with a large pin-matrix interface and things like a wave folder, and timbre filter. It’s called Cric. thread

Look at the controls on this marvel.

And although i’ll get static for bringing this up, Bela now has a 1U version of their programmable CV touch controller, the Gliss.

It’s just a little shorter than the vertical version, but ready made for your 1U utility space. You can store and replay long modulations with this.

ADDED :

Dreadbox has their Nyx reissue.

Soundforce is showing their nifty new modulation module MOD 6. Here’s a video with DivKid showing off this module.

Expect to see DivKid at the show !

How about some other synthlebs ? Nick Batt, Robin Vincent, Bo, Dataline ?? Who else ??

MORE :

UDO will have a small thing that might be of interest to you. Their RBN-1 ( post ) is a two foot long ribbon control that you can plug into any synth’s expression pedal input.

Ableton Move

STILL MORE : Let’s see if anyone is paying attention. Tonverk ??

Just saying hello as a former resident of Brislington who loved going to the Escher “bring and share” monthly meets at Elevator. :+1:t3: :pray:t3:

They still do those, but not at the shop any more- held on the last Monday of the month at Strange Brew :slightly_smiling_face:

speaking of Escher, local legend Hodge will be playing a set of unreleased tracks from the Escher community from 7pm this evening on the Divkid stage at Machina- including a tune from me :slightly_smiling_face:

This is why I love modular! Once I replenish my gear budget I’ll be looking to pair this with the VL2!

As long as we’re talking about decoration, Arturia has a new color for their Minilab 3.

Quick recovery, and be well Obelisk.

It was some recent show that i think Dataline missed with Covid. So you are among the great !

This was fast. SonicState are up with a bunch of YT videos.

I’ll put this one up. You’ve probably seen this thing before ( earlier post ) but it’s moved along and is available, but also difficult to get because it is in such demand. It is the mechanical magnetic resonance device Ferrous from Landscape.

I will add another link to this post, although this artist is not at the show, they were the originator collaborator for the Ferrous. Victoria Shen – EVICSHEN. Check out some of the sound and exotic musical instrument creations there. A wide range of sound art, really creative, and all over the map.

Bristol has become a real dosspit. Walked through there recently and so many homeless people on streets. Huge drug problem. But there is a younger music demographic with quite a few venues and live acts. A lot of uk towns are becoming like this tbf. But Bristol is particularly in decline.
