This one
Ah got it! Thatās a newer model, mine was I think first gen. Glad to hear it works well
Ahh thank you!
Is the rg35xx plus okay for big hands? To operate m8?
Sorry if im derailing the thread with these questions.
My hands are pretty big and I found it comfortable. The only problem for me is the buttons, which are small and harder to press than the ones on the M8. Take frequent breaks and youāll be ok.
The Brick is really nice. Hardware feels much more solid than the RG353v I had. Itās pretty small, if you have big hands you might prefer the larger one. Personally I think itās really cute.
M8 seems to run well on it. Iāve got mine blue tacked on the back, itās not super elegant but will do. The audio quality out of the device seems great (I had issues on my old RG though sounds like newer ones are better) and getting it running was easy and feels solid, whereas my old one was quite glitchy.
If you go on the M8 Discord > help-me > Headless thread thereās a recent post on how to set it up. Hereās a screenshot but youāll want the files too.
Last song Iām working on!, made with our amazing Dirtywave M8:

When is the preorder open for new batch?
Please donāt keep asking! I promise you I will announce it here as soon as I hear, if someone hasnāt already. Or you can join the Discord and turn notifications on for the #announcements channel. Next preorder is held up by delays in getting the SD card holders.
When is the preorder open mate
oh shit its right behind you
Thanks a lot for the link to this prototypesāvideo.
I love it, that on the model 1 Mark Setrakian, an robotics/animatronics specialist, contributed to the ācyberpunkāāhardwareādesignāstyle.
Especially that he worked on the munsters in Guillermo del Toros Hellboy movies, makes me love the model 1 M8 even more
Hey, just got my hands on a second hand M:01, last time I used it it was on firmware 3.0., after I updated the unit itās now on 5.0.1, what are the most fundamental changes/quality of life-improvements I should know?
The answer is about to be obsolete, as 6.0 is in beta and nearing stable release.
Iād say parametric EQās per track is a big one.
But there were so many.
And whatās important depends on how you use the M8.
(for example Iām not too interested in sampling - yet - but there were many improvements in this area)
Maybe you could have a quick look at the change logs of each version between 3.0 and 5.0.1?
Link to the running changelog:
But besides EQs, itās all the wavetables added to wavsynth and FM synth, sample playback while recording, realtime render (so you can perform midi-controllable things during render), and lazy chop
Edit: also, if you were on 3.0 and not post-3.1, modulating modulators
