It’s still gonna be awesome. Everybody is behind it. On another note, my Teensy was delivered today. Gonna set it up tomorrow.

After watching a bit of your video I was able to transcend my own disappointment to empathize with yours.
Damn bro- it can’t be easy.

Thats a delay of the modern era type. A year or two is a real delay.

I understand that this news might be disappointing for many backers who are patiently waiting, and I understand how frustrating it might be for you, @trash80, but I’m actually relieved. Granted, I’m extremely excited to get my m8, but I also have so much awesome gear as it is, so the delay gives me a chance to continue to use all of it. I say this knowing that there will be a time when I have my m8 in hand and it’ll be the only thing that I’ll want to do with my life. Everything that’s been shared about the m8 has pointed to this scenario.

Me too! I hadn’t the money when the pre-orders were open. Then I had the money. Then, other synths happened!
If you want to learn the UI meantime, you could set up a headless unit for about £35-40

Has anyone looked into cobbling together some custom hardware for this around the Teensy?
There’s some discussion around it on the Discord, someone managed to make something that almost looked portable.

I keep putting off setting up my M8 Headless. I have to do that TODAY. The real thing is in too high of a demand and I’m convinced I’ll always be too late on the preorders. And I don’t think anyone is going to be selling theirs once they get them.

I’ve been lurking around the discord in the hopes of a cancelled pre-order. No joy yet. I know I wouldn’t if I’d ordered one! Still there is always the commercial run to come, I have to save anyway.
Same here. I too lurk in the Discord. I’m more frustrated with myself than anything. When the preorders were open, I hesitated and missed out. I actually had the money at the time too. However, this was before I got Polyend Tracker and didn’t know how I would get on with the tracker workflow. Turns out it clicked with me and now I want something small and portable. This is a perfect opportunity to learn patience.

Still, I used it to buy an SP303 so not all bad! I will end up with one eventually. It’s way too cool not to have. Until then there’s LSDJ…

I always wanted to try that too but I’m going to be patient and get this M8 Headless going. I wish there was a tracker for Nintendo DS or Switch (my kiddos have those). And there’s always Renoise, and all the other software trackers to play around with. I’m down for trading my extra Polyend Tracker for an M8, even if just temporarily.

If you do decide to try LSDJ it’s not too hard/expensive to arrange it all - I got a modded gameboy DMG and flash cart for about £100. ‘Bonus’ was the flash cart had about 100+ gameboy games on it, so I’ve spent lots of time on Zelda and Tetris and zero time on LSDJ

I think that you will like it (besides, the M8 tracker is based in this one)
Even using lsdj on an emulator on the phone is pretty fun. It’s even possible to throw your own lowrate samples in there.
