M:C into GarageBand

Hi

I cant find on the web…

I want to record separate tracks from 1 song from M:C to GarageBand. So track 1 is Bass drum, track 2 is snare. Rather than recording all 8 tracks to 1 GB track I want to do each 8 tracks separately so i can mix them in GB.

At the moment I am pressing MC ‘Play’ and GB 'Record at the same time. This is inaccurate and then I have to line them up. Which is tricky.

Autoarm record in GB would solve this (so GB starts recording when it ‘hears’ the MC track) but I cant find if it’s possible.

Anyone got any ideas?

If youŕe anything like me you like to have everything in seperate tracks for mixing and mastering. Since I’m a bit lazy and don´t like to record one track after the other I made this handy little tool for this purpose. You don´t even need an audio interface for it.

Sadly I’m not clear enough to understand if it will do what I want, despite reading it all. I think it does. Does it?

It sounds to me like it will work for you, but I’ve not used it. The developer is on that thread, why not asking him the question over there ?
