M:C controlling external synth polyphonically?

Hello all!

Straight to the point:

Can the M:C sequence/control an external synth (for example a Waldorf Blofeld) polyphonically on 1 of its tracks?

Thanks

Not on one of its tracks. They only output midi in mono. You can use all six tracks for six simultaneous notes, though. I tried it with Model:Samples with different track lengths and a fuckton of conditional trigs. Great for generative stuff, but a PITA compared to just using a DAW or whatever.

Yes but you cannot sequence polyphony

Only note-off and velocity

I use MC with my nord lead to trigger pad (1 voice) or lead

Good for improvisation or jamming

Hey!

Thanks for the answer and the tip! Sounds interesting but not the solution I need, unfortunately. I’ll have to find a separate sequencer/controller.

Cheers

Hello,

Thanks for helping! I’ll probably get a cheapish sequencer to compensate then.

All good! An Arturia KeyStep might provide a fairly cheap and damn good solution. Up to 8 notes per step and patterns of up to 64 steps.

Have one in my studio setup, eheh. Would have to be a bit smaller for portability, also depends what case I get. I’ll figure something out.

Thanks!
