This thread is weird. I’m out.

I never said I didn’t have hardware. I love my Digitone.

Ah, I think I misread someone else’s comment (who was all software) as being from you, sorry for any confusion.

Also really loving the Behringer Neutron

My thoughts would be either (buy used) a blofeld or an opsix mk1. Both are very deep synths with a powerful mod matrix.

Since you already own a digitone, and synths are expensive, but you still want to buy yourself something (no judgement from me there), have you considered adding a pedal or 2 instead?

At the risk of sending you down a whole other GASsy rabbit whole, a few good pledals can be a cheap(er) & fun way to get new life from gear you’re bored with. And they’re easy to sell if they end up not gelling w them. Much easier to ship.

Pointless to get a machine that doesn’t save presets if you want to develop or change your efx thats why… Analog four. :upside_down_face:

C’mon, it’s a pretty common way of of referring to someone. Although the name in the handle probably gives a more specific clue.

It’s doubly appropriate since this thread will be repeated hundreds of times by new people asking the same question.

Nothing wrong with that. It’s a forum.‘it’s what heppens.

Well I know everyone has put their bank holiday weekend plans on hold, and stopped music production until they’ve heard what machine I went for in the end. So… looking like the Behringer Edge!

Love the experimental aspect, it can drone. I already really love the DFAM as a concept, and it’s cheap! I also have a spare effects unit and a spare compressor so lack of reverb etc is not a problem.

Edge + DN is a great combo. Have fun!

what is your budget?

I love this forum. It saddens me that sometimes, when people ask a question out of curiosity, someone comes in and gets all pompous and passive aggressive for no reason at all. It usually seems to be the same someones too.

Ah don’t let it stress you out. It’s normal for internet forums. I’m just puzzled why someone would even bother to write if they’re annoyed by something. Usually says more about the person commenting to be honest.

Under 300 definitely, under 200 preferable.

I went with the Edge.
