Loud high pitched sound with a certain kit

Hey,

I’m a new Rytm MK1 user and have just got my head around how the unit works and was messing around when I noticed the pattern I was working on get very noisy. A high pitched sound also started to be audible soon after, even when all tracks are muted.

I’ve turned off the compressor and distortion and both the noise and the high pitched sound are still present. I have also done the calibration.

The noise issue and the high pitched sound do not seem to be present on any other kits or projects. However they have not gone away with me switching between kits, projects or turning the power off.

I’m using the main left and right out and have tried with headphones and the issue is still there.

Anyone know what this is?

Any help would be appreciated!

Is the Rytm MK1’s USB cable plugged into a hub or anything at all?

Nope, USB cable isn’t plugged in. It’s just receiving midi clock from the midi in port and using the audio outs.

Does the high pitch sound go away after hitting the stop button a few times to stop the sequencer and trailing sounds? It could be one of the tracks is configured with infinite release and causing a high pitched sound to continue playing.

@FlexMundo yes the sound stopped after hitting the stop button a few times! The amp decay was set to the highest value on the bass drum. Massive thanks
