LoopSeek – Automatically create perfect loop points & multisamples

Hey everyone,

after months of intense work I’ve built a desktop app for macOS and Windows — thought this could be interesting for some tonverk users.
.
You pick a VST3, Audio Unit, or CLAP plugin, record directly from a hardware synth, or import existing multisamples — loop points are preserved or reset automatically.

LoopSeek handles the rest: recording, looping, and mapping, all in one app. Plugins render offline, significantly faster than real time. Three loop algorithms including the Helix Algorithm find seamless loop points automatically, even on complex material. Round robin, velocity layers, and dual-layer plugin autosampling included.

Exports: Elektron Tonverk & Tonverk+*, Teenage Engineering OP-XY, 1010music Bento, Logic EXS, Decent Sampler, SFZ and WAV.

*Regarding the Tonverk+ export: this is the single WAV + single .elmulti export format that Tonverk also uses for its own autosampler, including trims (only first trim gets loop). At the moment, loops are unfortunately not properly supported with this format. If you need looping functionality, please use the regular Tonverk export for now.

A second Tonverk note: for the moment, please do not use “Loop Only”. Since Tonverk firmware 1.3.x, “Loop End = Sample End” is no longer supported correctly. Hopefully Elektron brings this behaviour back in a future update.

Free demo available — would love to hear what you think.

Congrats! This looks great. I’m going to check it out for sure. I’ve been using SampleRobot 6 with great success but this looks cleaner, easier, and can export to Tonverk (also supports vst3 unlike SampleRobot which only supports vst2, it might matter to some). More options are always great and anything to speed up the workflow is even better (instead of exporting in SampleRobot and then importing it in your online tool). It’s also cheaper than SampleRobot.

Was literally looking for this yesterday and came to the conclusion sample robot was the only thing in the game. Happy to have a more modern option!

A couple things, as I try JE8086 as a test bed:

  • One thing I’d like I didn’t see is a way to send a program/preset change, so you could run through an entire hardware/VST run automatically. Would be a nice addition!
  • I also can’ find a way to specify midi channel for VSTs (though I do see this for hardware. This could be useful for synths that require specific channels for layers vs performance, etc.

Excited to see this evolve!

Sample Robot is really weak when it’s come to automatic looping. I played around a bit with the demo: The autoloop algorithms in Loopseek are outstanding.

It’s great to have a complete multisampling toolchain within one app.

What does Tonverk+ mean?

"Tonverk+” allows you to export to the internal Tonverk autosampler format — one .elmulti file and one WAV file with trims.Round robin and velocity layers are supported, but currently only the first loop in the WAV file is used. If Elektron enables support for multiple loops in this trim mode - this would be a good alternative to the 1 elmulti + 22? Samples in one Folder.

Thank you. Also, keep in mind that LoopSeek supports round robin and dual-layer rendering, allowing you to layer two plugins.

This is just the release. More features will come in the future.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll add the MIDI channel idea to the list, and program change is also something I can look into.

this might be an odd question but - can it only export the loops .
why ??
the amp attack, filter modulations , release etc can all be done on tonverk (and other samplers) , so to save memory the end result on tonverk , once the parameters are setup , might be very similar and much more memory efficient .
i appreciate its sound dependant and loop dependant … but if it could be previewed too, we get the best of options for what we actually want to export .
and yes… i know we could edit the patch before hand , but this looks very good for just clicking through the libraries on the synths instead of also editing everything .
anyway… just an idea … i might be stupid.

EDIT - i see it has ‘cut at loop end’ on export … basically what i was looking for
and ‘loop only’ options for smallest possible file
My first attempt with a d50 pad worked pretty well .

As I can see, you already found the option yourself. By default, “Cut at Loop End” is not pre selected for most devices (except OP-XY). Instead, it’s set to “Original,” meaning the release is preserved. Since memory usually isn’t a limiting factor there, this makes more sense as a default. The setting is remembered as long as you don’t close the app, so you don’t have to adjust it again for each multisample.

In the Pro version, you also have profiles. These let you store all sampling-related settings—whether you’re creating one-shots or loops, sustain length, key range, algorithm, and export settings—in different presets. For example, you could have one profile optimized for saving sample size, another for one-shots, and another for loops.

Good to hear your first attempt with the D50 worked well.

Hello. Great application. I’m interested in it for the Tonverk, but could it also work for the 1010 Blackbox? Does the Bento share the same type of multisamples as the Blackbox?

Thanks!!

Whoa, this is really nice. I’m definitely buying this in the near future: it’s going to make for a great summer holiday project of multisampling all my favorite vsts!

Thank you. I’m not sure if Bento or Blackbox use the same format, as I don’t own a Blackbox. However, you can export WAV files with embedded root notes and loop points or try the bento format in the demo.

Thanks a lot. You will have a nice summer holiday project.

Yes, Blackbox works that way, so I don’t think there will be any problem. I’ll try the demo next week. Thanks for creating this!

Bento, Tangerine and Blackbox all import multi-samples based on wav embedded metadata or certain file-named based characteristics. However, I think their respective preset xml files are based on different schemas.

I just tried the demo version and I loved it! Great work. No hiccups. What I enjoy the most are the ease of round robin variation setup and the very speedy recording time.

Is there a way to play plugin in the app using the computer keyboard for a fast sound check?

The demo version is very powerful already but I’ll greatly consider buying it!

Oooookay, this looks incredibly useful to me! Can’t wait to check out, thank you!

Thanks a lot, really glad to hear that!

You can already use a MIDI keyboard in the app for quick sound checks. The idea of playing via the computer keyboard definitely makes sense though—I agree that would be a useful addition, and I’ll look into adding it in one of the upcoming updates.

Thanks a lot. Yes, check out the demo. Of course, as the developer I’m a bit biased, but that’s exactly it—it’s incredibly useful.

Jp8k_EuroContre.zip (3.3 MB)
i attached two files.
jp8k_Euro_Contre - a nice clean bass sound with nice loops (exported on free version)
its a preset from the arturia jp8k vst

VAcid_Test.zip (2.5 MB)

vacid , it wont load on tonverk … i think i exported loop only. … perhaps the wav’s are too short or something??
its a preset from arturia acid plugin …
i think i tried to do another one a few days ago which didnt work on tonverk either…

I’ve heard from a user that since the last or second-to-last firmware update, having the loop end match the sample end directly no longer works.

I’d wait a bit to see if this was just an oversight by Elektron, since it worked before. If the Tonverk no longer allows this, the “loop only” export for Tonverk would become somewhat pointless.

For now, I’d suggest just using “cut at loop point,” as this adds 32 samples at the loop end. and you should switch off the loop only for tonverk.
