I have to say I’m quite pleased with the looper machines in OT, but many comments I read have people speaking grumpily. Are there limitations I haven’t hit yet? Maybe it’s a stylistic performance thing?

There are limitations you may never hit.

Spending 1/2 hour reading through topics, you’ll quickly realize that Pickup machines are a polarizing topic and as a community, we’ve resolved not to re-open that can of worms yet again.

There are a few bugs, gremlins and nuances and I’m going to get a thread together to get to the bottom of what is and what isn’t with the help of a few users. Hopefully pulling together a best practice guide along the way with workarounds and pinpointing the issues. Then see if Elektron can resolve any of it, and if not there’ll be a resource for current and new pickup machine users to work with. I’ve been very disappointed by how robust they are, quite frustrating in some ways and not as usable as many other looping devices I’ve used. That’s not to say they can’t be cajoled to loop, but it doesn’t take much to find the usability issues
