Currently running my Digitakt with and arturia keystep as sort of a mobile set up. Looking to add a midi pad controller to the mix as I miss that style
I haven’t been able to find anything on the market that seems compatible, as most use a USB connection. I’m rather new to this all and my research hasn’t yielded me any results. Any ideas? Sorry if I’m unclear
The regular beatstep & mpd26 are 2 great choice for pad controllers with din midi

I`m also in The market for a pad controller. I am Considering the MPD226 it can apparently connect directly to the digitakt without a usb host. I would prefer the MPD 218 since it is more compact but then you need a usb host in between. But I am holding my horses until NAMM, to see if anything interesting shows up. The mpd226 can be connected to the dt without the use of a midi host because unlike the mpd218 the 226 has a din midi connection.
If you are interested in the mpd218, The regular beatstep is usually about 99$ And had 16 pads and 17 assignable encoders. So it’s similar to the mpd218 but has more encoders and Unlike the 218 has din midi.
