Looking for good trash, junk samples, others

Hello, still having an utter blast with this new thing and figuring out ways to integrate it into my mostly “organic” music. I have always had a fondness for metallic junk garbage percussion. The new $8 8Dio Wrenchenspiel, for example. Unbelievable instrument. The NI “Giant” cinematic version. Love all kinds of mallet samples too.

Anyway, I am not an experienced sample maker myself–saving that for the next pandemic I guess–so I pose as a general question, what are some of the really reliably good sources of wav samples out there, in your opinion. Subjective question, of course.

and if anyone can direct specifically to some good metallic and trashy stuff…

free, pay, all in play

Thank you! Really enjoying my time browsing Elektronauts

^^This is your man, man!^^

I think I will justly add two of my favourite videos of this wonderful being of creation because history is important in my humble opinion;

This is the third but it is all in the second link;

Lastly, I simply don’t think there is a better way to find the right sample other than making your own. Go and whack stuff with a stick, jump on different textures with various footwear you own, record a bucket of water being poured into a bath, a flip-flop smacking a tiled floor or a dinosaur tooth being flung through a brown paper bag. I’m just spit balling but jeez, I could be onto something! I’ve done one of the last two mentioned and I think the latter would serve as some extra mustard for a trashy snare hit… :wink:
