Very good DL:)

In the early stages of getting a live set together myself, months/years yet before I get that together:)

What machines did you use for this set?

That’s a long set so I’m interested in your technique… ie. how you used parts/transitions if using the OT?

Cheers!

Thanks
I know 2h is too long to listen, but I would love to hear some feedback :joy:

What you hear is a pure improvisation.
This live set is a bit different then my previous ones.
Here I used whole new bank of patterns/kits on Analog Four mixed with Operator’s clips from Ableton. So you hear both Analog and FM synthesis.
That was a key idea behind this set.

I have a DJ background so I need faders and rather prefer to mix 2 leads together then switching patterns. That being said I used A4’ performance mode (faders) + APC40 for Ableton.

Percussion is TR-8 with live programming layered with A4 and basic Ableton 4-4 clips.

Baseline is TB-3 mixed with A4 and sometimes with Ableton clips (also TB-3 sounds).

You may hear one midi glitch in the first hour. I believe Ableton/USB related

If I were using OT I would probably record all input tracks and use them for transitions.

Aha, quite a mix of methods there;)

Thanks for getting back.

So you didn’t use a mixer?, just transitioned, say by using the crossfader of the apc40 maybe? (I don’t know what “performance mode” is on A4)

I’m trying to get away from ableton right now for a spell, but ideally I’d like to get a one hour set together so appreciate any tips.

Good work man. Keep it up:)

its pretty solid, man… strong work - i can hear the DJ influence
