Logic Pro coming to iPad

Not a fan of the subscription-only model for it. I’m liking how at least this seems to be demonstrating how far we’ve come with regards to processor tech, especially since a lot of DAWs will now have to work on Apple Silicon (ARM-based) as well as x86-based systems.

Runs perfectly for me on the 2018 iPad Pro (A17X, iirc). Might not have stem separation though. I think it needs M1 or better for that.

I ran it perfectly ok the last iPad mini. Even stem separation worked.

Thanks. That might be the same one I have and I was running into processing power alerts with not much going on.

Might try restarting and freeing up memory.

Was that M processor based?

No. That’s what I’m saying. It did stem separation. It took a few seconds. But it did.

Of course on the Air with M cpu it rocks.

Thanks for clarifying!

I just stumbled on the process within Logic Pro for iPad on how to get Per Pad Sample effects going via a couple steps, which I have highlighted in this video:

Hope it helps and as always, thanks for watching.

The updates to the Pattern Sequencer are just wonderful:

Does Logic Remote on the iPad support the new features of the pattern sequencer? So can you control the sequencer on the Mac Logic version with the iPad?

I haven’t tried it yet.

Logic Pro for iPad is a bomb since launch, I don’t know why it’s so underrated
I made this with just a LaunchKey Mini

Is it just me or have you noticed the preview button for the pattern sequencer is missing after the update? It used to be a little speaker icon in the top left, now gone?

When is Logic Pro coming to iPad?
