Lock Trig Length (LEN) value is for what?

I think there were some older posts like this one regarding the topic of lock-trig len not doing anything, but I’m still not clear on this whole thing. I made a 4-len lock trig somewhere along my pattern and would expect that the values of the ‘original trig’ would come back after the lock trig is ‘done playing’ but it seems like the lock trig only sets a new value which plays until the end of the pattern…

Is the solution really to just have another lock trig to ‘reset’ the values to the original as defined on the different parameter pages once you want the original params to come into effect? Or is there something I am missing here… like what is the point of the “Length” parameter on these lock trigs if it actually doesn’t do anything?

Yeah that would be a great feature to have. Locked parameters on a trigless trig to override other trigs corresponding parameters for the length of the trigless trig except if these trigs have themselves the parameter locked.
That could allow for really nice behavior with fill and so on.
