Crashes constantly. Stops for no reason. Elektron RYTM sometimes freezes up. Usually on transfers that have more than, say, 30 files… but still this is insanely frustrating. If I could navigate the +drive sample bank easier than the RYTM interface it would be fine, even with the crashing. I could at least see full filenames and delete duplicates & files that have no data.
I know its a secondary function, but still… i hope they eventually fix all the rytm OS bugs… there are plenty.

I loaded over 300 single cycle samples in one go and had no problems. I did notice the rytm acted a little strange and sounded like it was play a few of them as the loaded. It was weird but worked. What type of computer are you using?

Single cycle waveforms are very small in size, though… 300 x (<5kb) isn’t much.
Mac Mini. C6 has always been an issue for me on Mac (multiple computers).
I was on the “incoming” screen, however, when transferring files… you know, where it’ll actively give you a progress bar for each sample being downloaded into the +drive on the RYTM screen. Once I exited this screen during transfers they started working just fine for the most part… interesting.

File upload using C6 to AR is slow and unpredictable. Kind of broken really. If not for the transfer bugs just from a data transfer speed perspective.
Sometimes restarting the AR helps somewhat, at least when it comes to transfer speed, but the random stops when setting up a batch of multiple files happens pretty much all the time for me.
Still hoping Elektron will update the firmware so the AR starts behaving more like an USB flash drive when it comes to transfer speed, simplicity and
robustness.
Might be we have to wait until the firmware update that is very likely to arrive with the release of the Overbridge stuff.
Filenames > 15 characters are trimmed during transfer
so if I have a filename like below
SAMPLECD_KICKS_001
I get ‘SAMPLECD_KICKS_’ in the rytm.
BUT what happens, is that the next sample with name SAMPLECD_KICKS_002 wil be uploaded as ‘SAMPLECD_KICKS_’ as well and overwrites the 001.
So now I have to manually rename all samples to short names.
It ís more practical in the end offcourse

Maybe a nice tip for people experiencing the same:
I used IrfanView to rename the samples. This tool has a batch convert / rename function.
You can select rename only and select all your kicks and rename them to Kick### . the ### wil be automatically numbered from 001 up.
Same goes for snares, claps etc. offcourse

Haven’t had issues on my iMac , but I found it will overwrite samples with a similar name.
I.e I had to batch rename samples such as
Hardkick01
hardkick02
To
01hardkick01
02hardkick02
