Lo-Fi AMPH-parameter?

Hi,
I’m currently exploring the OT’s effects and cant figure out what the AMPH-parameter of the Lo-Fi Effect does.
The manual says it “sets the start phase of the amplitude modulation”. So I guess it has to do with the AMD & AMF parameter?
However tweaking it does nothing it seems
A little hint would be greatly appreciated

amplitude modulation is tremolo
so volume modulation needs a depth and frequency
AMD and AMF
it must start (or retrig) on a trig
so the phase will shift the start point of the wave (sin)
to hear it you’d need a (s)low frequency AMF, just experiment i guess with material (e.g white noise) and trig it and vary phase !

thanks!
I just tried it with low AMF settings. I applied it on a Kick and a Bassline.
The difference was extremely subtile, barely hearable.
On a vocal I heard more, really like what it does
For what else would I use this, any experiences?

don’t really use it and not sure how low the frequency goes, but i imagine the phase for higher AMF values may be useful for tuning that effect for given lofi flavouring of certain material - i imagine it’s most useful at higher amt frequencies with more tonal/periodic sounds - curious to dig a bit deeper with this now myself !

best way i found to demo the phase was to put AMF to 0 AMD to Max
put LoFi on both FX slots
be sure to go into phase and adjust both to 0 (not Off) (1 up from that)
then vary the phase in the second one (e.g take it to 90deg), now that both are starting on the same phase and one is moving it’ll be obvious it’s working
the default when loaded is phase at Off which means that the sine wave is not retriggered, so it would vary every time the trig was played and be inconsistent - it’s certainly handy to have and could be a powerful adjustment with the right material

just tried it on a whitenoise-like open hihat. that thing changes the whole rhytm, it gives high frequency sounds a very nice dynamic

I applied it on a Kick …

yep thats great … this will do some ‘boing’
you can also use this on the master

I tried it on literally everything now, it’s amazing!
It somehow applies a ducking/sidechain-like effekt on things and makes them “groove”.
