Studio Electronics 4075 filter

Drums:

Bassline:
Avalon bassline
This one is mostly using the modular gear plus the Avalon for bass and melody.
The OT only provides the sample vocal thingy and the RYTM is doing some hand drum type stuff.
The primary drums come from the Tanzmaus which is is my new favorite drum machine. The kick and hats sound so good. The snare is fierce, I am still trying to work on the clap but I think I’ll get it to sound nice with a little bit of effort.
Getting better at recording the stuff. Three tracks ago I was having problems with the kick sounding farty.
I realized while monitoring through the video camera that I was peaking my signal. My hard disk recorder was not displaying it.
I soon realized that I need to keep all signals at my mixer below zero and then amplify after I recorded. I use a Model1 mixer and didn’t think much of being above 0 because it is a DJ mixer and my last mixer (A Rane) needed to essentially be redlined.
So, lesson learned. If you’re getting a flat signal with a little distortion while recording gain stage all of your audio making sure that you aren’t pushing positive values any where in the chain, even if it looks okay at your recording source.
