Live Recording Mode: How to record using a Start command?

I want to record an external MIDI pattern in Quantized Live Recording Mode.

Is there a trick to arm the Live Recording Mode and start the recording via an incoming Start command?

With the Roland MCs, I can do it this way. With the DT, unfortunately, I do not know how to do that.

For next update, a lot of chance that they implement a way to quantize recording start, at least to sequencer Start.

Threshold doesn’t work properly for external noisy sources…

But I found a trick a while ago :

Set a long PREROLL in METRONOME page (up to 16 bars by memory)
Rec + Play for Live Recording.
Send external midi Start

I did it on A4 and DN iirc, should work on DT but no promises…

With gear and especially Elektron, double check before saying something is not possible…

Doesn’t seem that simple with humanity…
