hi there!
I’ve recently -and finally! made the step to get the Octatrack and try not to miss Ableton anymore. I have to say it’s funny as hell for the moment, although it took some Manual reading days!
This is the first approach to how I make music nowadays. I like to use short clips in a loop as an inspirational tool and this way get a tone, a general movement/tempo and a motive. The result is this jam or composition mainly based on sample tweaking with the Octatrack. I’m really enjoying being able to manipulate samples this way in a hardware ensemble. I’m a full fanboy of Ableton and its capabilities of sound design and this setup is getting closer to the experience I want.
Octatrack nerds out there, any advice or workflows you wanna share for creative sound design? Would love to hear!
Hope you will like any minute of this recording btw ![]()
