Lines on white display (same as ST/DTII)

…suprised its a problem across all devices. Brand new Rytm MK II , bought it about a month ago (after 1 month wait till its back in stock) , during session suddenly display went “Syntakt like”. Damn. What is the remedy? Are these picked up by Elektron or does it have to be sent thru the shop you bought it from. Timeline of the repair? Anyone? Cheers.

oh wow that sucks, I guess it’s the same faulty screen batch, from reports you’d have to open a ticket with support and send it to them for repair, inconvenience for sure but they do fix it.

good news is you have a rytm, yay! :slight_smile:

Man, what a box. I had zilions of gear but Rytm , the way its lay out, the way it sounds …. just amazing. Design tool, not drum maschine. Love what I am a getting out of it. Either way, it sucks more as a inconvenience - Elektron support at half speed, company on vacation 4.7 -12.8. Ticket open. Will report back.

Would prefer using it until quick turnaround then sending it now. Will also try to swap for a new unit in the shop, but the chances it will happen again is high. So maybe will stick with this one and have it fixed.

Hi @mp my 6-week old Rytm Mk 2 has just auddenly developed the same issue - very frustrating.

Hope you’ve had yours fixed now….How did you go about resolving it?

I did received a shipping label to Sweden from Elektron support right after I reported the problem -they obviously need to change the display. However to my surprise, 2 days after the problem occurred, it went back to normal during one session ??? Go figure :wink: Either way I will be sending it for repair but only in a week as I go to vacation and wont be using it. Please do report back how it went with yours. Its a bummer but not a dealbreaker. They try to sort it the best and fastest way possible.

wasn’t aware of this being a fault and had a rough surprise when it occured suddenly last night, 5 minutes into the session! but like you say, if they take responsibility and fix it then it’s just a small inconvenience

edit: received an answer, they’ll pay for shipping for a screen adjustment. big relief

my Rytm was returned today, had a short play and screen seems fixed. overall, very simple and positive experience
