I’m done with preparations for my first live set (!!!) but yesterday when recording it, noticed that it has lots of dynamics… searching for a hardware limiter i found two options on the same cheap money ($100):
the Boss RCL- 10 microrack limiter 
or the Behringer MDX 402 Auto Limiter
Does somebody here has One and has used it for Master limiting? let me know.

Yep I second the EHX Platform as a recommendation. Comp/drive with a limiter option. Sounds nice doing gentle compression or heavy limiting. Got a tone control on the drive circuit which is basically a LPF that you can use with drive set to zero too to LPF a non-driven signal. Great unit!
I too prefer a compressor to a limiter. RNC is as nice as it says, and cheap.
thx for replying. bought the Behringer rack, bought it used for $80… i will definitively try buying the ehx platform later, but for my first gig its okay
