For the past few versions of MacOS and iOS, Apple has offered the option to automatically switch between light and dark visual themes in the operating system, based on time of day. I’m an avid user of this feature, and have it enabled on all my devices.
Increasingly, websites are adopting a standard that allows the site to display in light or dark modes based on the user’s operating system preference rather than requiring a manual toggle. The way Discourse has implemented it, users can still disable automatic switching and choose manually if they want the site color scheme to be different from their operating system.
It would be great if Elektronauts would enable this option!
