is there any way to avoid the LFO preview quitting after a few seconds? sometimes I just want to listen the effect (specially on really slow LFOs) and it’s a bit annoying having to scroll time after time…
I couldn’t find any option, or thread about it (except one for DigiTakt) but it would be a great feature… you could always go back with the button
I couldn’t agree any more, it has been raised a few times before, in particular as a feature request
It’s a feel thing, often you don’t want a menu lingering too long, but it’s clearly (imho, and others too) just too short, it makes selection an edgy experience - the issue is compounded, by the selection position reverting back, so if you scroll through hunting with the fine finger work required you’ll often find that the menu resets beneath you and you can’t continue, you have to start again … it has a bad feel for live play, it could be improved
For longer previews you always have the ‘save just before’ option and ‘reload’ or you can load the setting and then reselect the previous, but those’ll be subject to the fiddly select feel
I’d be happier if the selection list was held up a fraction longer
do you think I can fill a support ticket for this? maybe now that they’ve released MKII they’ll pay attention to those details, even if they’re separate OS…
well, it seems like a feature request, not a bug, but you can always send a feature request, but if it’s not sensible or properly thought through I think it’ll be added to the pile at best … I think you probably have to provide a simple compelling case for a change and a bit of community support goes a long way and I think there is for a tweak in those menus - go for it, but in terms of introducing a latching menu, I’m not so sure they’ll introduce something like that, just my hunch
oh I thought there was some sort of support ticket for feature requests… yeah at least make it lengthier would work I guess…
one of the other mods (Peter) previously directed FRs to here
“send an email to feature-request@elektron.se”
awesome, thank you so much!
