LFO clicks only when individual track recording through Overbridge

EDIT 2 : rearranged whole post after finding the actual problem.

Hello ! So I’ve only just begun to record and mix my DT tunes on Ableton Live. And the square wave LFO I use on the Amp Volume of one track suddenly clicks when I’m multitrack recording. It doesn’t when I’m just monitoring or recording the main output (even if that track is playing solo). Now it seems I can smooth the clicks by reducing the LFO depth a bit, but I’d like to know why it sounds different when I’m recording the track individually ?

It may be bypassing the master compressor when going individual out, I can’t recall. If so this could be the reason for being softened up a bit.

I thought about that, so I turned the compressor off when monitoring the Main Output and it isn’t that. But there must be some kind of processing going on. Anyway, it turns out OK, I just have to turn down the LFO depth a notch and it sound virtually the same. I’m just a bit curious !

Well a square wave is an abrupt change from low to high so you will get clicks at large values. It’s just the nature of the waveform.
