Laying a REC trig into the sequencer with a MIDI Footswitch

Hi,

Pickup machines are very limited as you cannot alter the recording on the sequencer, its only useful for a static loop.
I would like to be able to control the recorder part of a flex machine with my foot pedal.
My idea would be to press the pedal whenever I want to lay a trig on the first step of my recorder track to start looping and then be able to remove that trig so that it doesn’t continue recording once my sequence comes back around.

Can this be achieved with my foot controller?

I hope someone has looked into it and has some insight on the topic.

Cheers

There is a one-shot trigger available. If you use that, it starts recording once then doesn’t keep triggering recording on subsequent passes. You can re-arm the one-shot from the front panel for sure.

Not sure if there’s a sequence of MIDI commands you can send to re-arm.

Page 79 of the manual covers one shot triggers in more detail. That plus the MIDI spec might get you there.

Quantized recording. You don’t need a trig.
