Korg ST1K Synthesizer Tuner

Thank you! I appreciate it.

Of course, noise is no friend to tuners. Just some seem more sensitive to it than others. For example my old Korg guitar tuner can handle noisy signals much better than the one that comes with Ableton.

Anyways, looking forward to your findings.

Any updates after 6 months use ?

I use it almost daily, or at least whenever I’m mucking about with my eurorack gear. Fast and easy to read and use. I don’t even think about it, which means its doing its job!

Ive got a free tuner app on my phone. I tune one synth (the SH101) to that.
Then I tune everything else to my SH101, by ear.

Cos Im cheap.
And I dont like it if everything is perfectly in tune. It sounds weird.

Same. I think the one I use is called Sound Corset, which sounds kinda kinky but it’s actually a pretty vanilla tuner.
Works like a charm

The Turbo Tuner still appears to be the best tuner around. ST1K accuracy is ±0.1 cents, same as the strobostomp. That OT-120 mentioned upthread is ±1 cent! Turbo Tuner is ±.02 which is 5x more accurate than the korg or peterson. Which might seem unnecessary but it actually makes tuning a lot easier.

I use the NTS-2 to tune, but it gets funky (maybe in a good way?) below C2, so it is hard to trust. This might be interesting, how is it tuning oscillators to C0/C1 or equivalent?
