so tired of files disappearing from soundcloud :frowning:

i sold my octatrack and started to use the KP3 again. Very good for looping, the hpfilter is smooth and the usability with the touch pad, fader and 2 knobs is amazing.

I don’t think but just listen and do… this helps me to make a perfect song transition

the fx are not that good… but yesterday, while playing with it… i loved some. and that’s enough. Cheap and good tool, I think.

I tested it for transitions the other night and it seems near perfect to me. The mix I posted at :

https://soundcloud.com/jameshugg/analog-four-kp3-mix-practice

is all a4 with the transitions between patterns handled by the kp3. The looping to my ear was seemless and operation effortless. Sound quality sounds fine to me.

There is a firmware update (1.04) for the KP3+ out today which claims to fix a bug with MDI clock sync. I haven’t tried it yet.

Almost sold my KP3+ last week
glad i didn’t, its not a bad little looper
especially for the price you can sometimes get them for in the used market

I’m having the hardest time figuring out how to control my KP3+ with the monomachine midi sequencer. My google searches are only resulting in using the KP3 as a midi controller.

Anybody got any advice?

Read the table “Messages that can be transmitted/received outside of External Control mode” on page 23 of the KP3+ manual.

Act accordingly.

I’ve got my MnM controlling the KP3, but I’m trying to send programming changes which works but it knocks hold off each time. Is there a best practice for this? Instead of programming hold, should I be sending touchpad messages? Would best practice be to control it in external control mode or just regularly?

Thank you!

Use the Pad Touch CC instead of Hold. That will hold the touchpad between program changes, and gives you the option to manually use the Hold button at will.

Have you tried it? Any luck with the midi sync?

i dont sync, just set the clock manually. works very well

Hi there, anyone else here using the KP3+ at the end of the chain? Doesn’t it bother you to have all analogue gear and then make it go through a KP3’s A/D D/A converters? I thought of putting something like the Strymon Deco or Oto Boum warming unit after the KP3+ as a way of slightly making up for this, but I’m still wandering if I should get the KP3+ or not. I would mainly use the scatter and filter effects. Any thoughts??

There are a lot of people using the OT as their effects unit for The Dark Trinity, so there doesn’t seem to be a vast concern about it, it will be converted at some point.

I think the KP3 fulfills a decent function for anybody that can’t pull the trigger on an OT. It’s a shame the mic input is mono, though- would definitely be cool to switch sources easier with the switch
