I do. I sometimes use two side by side! I’ve sold and repurchased a few over the years but have used them pretty regularly since they were first released. One of my all time favorite pieces of gear.
They’re so straightforward I’ve been able to completely improvise full live sets on them from blank patterns.
The es1 is also excellent. One of the coolest sounding samplers in my opinion (really has it’s own character). My wife has fully absorbed my es1 into her setup.
I had the ea1 for a few years and sold it though I wish I hadn’t.

I actually never realized they’d done this; I don’t pay attention to VST’s much these days. back when I did actually use them though, I always considered the Sonic Charge Microtonic to be the VST equivalent of the ER-1.
now I actually have an ER-1. I seldom use it but got it because I wanted one for over 20 years and it’s a cheap, fun piece of gear. I think it’s absolutely still useful though. just as much as the Model:Cycles. and while they’re not the same, they’re in the same territory.
also, Stimming still loves his:
I just watched the latest episode of “Bob’s Burgers” and Gene made a deal with the music store owner to play on what is clearly an ER-1 “until he sells it”
