I’m disappointed that from an initial search no one seems to have made a giant rhodes or giant glockenspiel. This was the closest I could find.

I really wish they would talk less and just play the dang thing. I just don’t have patience for sales-speak anymore. Just let me hear what it can do.

I think that if they did a version without the tines (Rickay!) and instead had TRRS sockets to which you could attach a cable terminated in an electromagnetic striker and a pickup mic, with a number of mounting options for different surfaces, that would be pretty compelling. Soma did that midi solenoid thing a few years back, but this would take it a stage further by still having all the circuitry and control, but a bit more interesting than just kalimba type stuff and way more flexible.

anyone also thinks this things should be controlled by midi / cv?
Problem with that is you loose the compactness. This you can throw in a bag, If I need to constructs a bunch of stuff around this it gets cumbersome. Mind you, I would love it … but one of the most problematic parts it properly mounting the solenoids. I’m already struggling with one.

This thing could be so cool.
I really hope Korg puts a little more into the build quality though, as the last few synths I’ve seen from them have been pretty mediocre feeling.

I lovelovelove it. I just really hope it’s not highly expensive but it has such a boutique flair to it, I could se it be >500, even would not be shocked if it’s 999.
If it’s more towards the 2-300€ side of things it’s an buy from me, but it feels like it’s to high quality for that.
Oh just read the part. Yeah, as expected, closer to 1k than to 500, far from the 300.
Probably out of my budget, but still a beautiful piece and I’m so curious to see what people create with it when it’s out.
