Hi guys,
need to know how to work with this.
I use digitakt II to build tracks pattern by pattern, I don’t feel confortable with song mode, it is faster to build one pattern after another with variations ect. In this scenario, I use to work in peforming mode so when I switch from one pattern to another I don’t have changes in volume, filters, etc etc, everyting is done live. Before I switch the machine off I save the kit so the next time everything is on its own place. Btw I don’t understand why I need to reload the kit on each pattern even if they are linked to the same one. Anyone can explain or help to avoid this situation?
Hi, I’m not sure of the ultimate determination that was made, but there was quite a lot of discussion in this topic I’m linking:
Apparently, the manual is not phrased in a way that 100% represents the behavior of global kits and I suspect you’ll get a better answer from that thread than from me so just providing the resource in case it’s helpful to you.
seems there are no updates on this… hopefully something will come
When you load a kit to a pattern, what happens is that a copy of the setting settings are placed on the pattern … you are not linking the pattern and the kit. So when you save the kit again, the only thing that is effected is that kit, and not all the patterns that were once made by copying that kit.
I understand that other Elektron boxes (A4 ? AR ?) DO make a link from the pattern to the kit, so the digi boxes behave differently.
