Kits have disappeared

I’m not sure what I’ve done exactly, but the kits seem to have disappeared.

Once I’ve started a new project, I go to ‘kit’, then to ‘load kit’, and I get this display…

It doesn’t matter which one I select, it always loads the default kit every time.

Whereas before, it used to show a bunch of kits with different names.

Any ideas?

As on the A4 there is a +Drive storage/library for individual sounds only and not for full kits.

So if you start a new project all kits will be empty. If you want to import kits from another project you’ll need to dump some sysex.

ok, but when I did the extact same process previously to load a new kit, it was showing loads of different kits to choose from, dont understand why it’s changed, or the exact process to get them back.

Forgive my ignorance, Elektron noob here

hate that i can’t do this w/o my computer.
what if i didn’t have one? would i be stuck?
i do have one, so i’m not… but…

Did you change projects by chance? Page 17 of the manual explains how to do this, but in a nutshell:

Press Function + Track
Go into the “Project” submenu
Go to “Load Project”
Select a different project, perhaps “Presets” is the one you were using
Right arrow and select “Load From”
NOTE: LOAD FROM WILL OVERWRITE YOUR CURRENT PROJECT

If you made any new patterns or kits you will want to save them to a project first.
